Description
An archaeological watching brief was carried out at 2, Vicarage Gardens, Mildenhall. Three post holes c.40cm in diameter and 94cm deep were seen. These showed soil profiles of 14cm of modern overburden over 20cm of coarse, chalky grey-brown silty loam over 60cm of dense grey-brown silt with chalk and charcoal flecks. The base of the holes was at the top of the natural which was a coarse yellow-beige sand. There were no archaeological finds.
