Description
Two visits made to the site of a new classroom block. First visit was undertaken following removal of overburden from the site but prior to excavation of any strip foundations. Most of the topsoil had been removed at an earlier period. Residue indicated that this was mainly composed of modern build up layers.
The site was visited the following day, when excavation of the footings was underway. No evidence for any earlier occupation on the site was found.
