Description
Archaeological monitoring was out on the excavation of trenches for ground beams for an extension to the existing property. Following bored piling operations a series of trenches excavated for connecting ground beams were inspected. The larger ground beams measured 0.6m wide and were cut into the made ground to a maximum depth of 0.6m. In total 50% of the excavated trenches were inspected. The lower deposits consisted of wall bases and dated to the 19th century.
