Description
Trial-trench evaluation was conducted in advance of the construction of a new dwelling on land to the south east of 'The Dell'. Further archaeological works was recommended. 1 trench was positioned within the footprint of the proposed new dwelling. Topsoil was 0.35m thick over an accumulation horizon of silty clay 0.2m thick which sealed natural ground of sandy clay with occassional gravel patches (S1).
