Description

A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approx 29.5ha of grassland, ahead of residential development and forms part of an archaeological investigation being undertaken by Heritage Collective. Linear features of probable archaeological origin hav ebeen identified as well as a number of possible former pits, though these may also be natural in origin. A number of linear anomalies are of unknown origin. The remaning features are natural or modern and include an underground service, land drains, scattered magnetic debris and disturbance from nearby ferrous objects, including features of a gold driving range, and magnetic spikes that are likely to be modern rubbish (S1).
