Description
Site visits were made to examine a series of soak-away test holes that were excavated along the southern side of the Rowley Mile Course. The test holes were c2m long x 0.40m wide x 2m deep and they were situated at approximately one furlong intervals (c201m) from a location opposites the stands to the 7.5 furlong marker. No finds or features of archaeological interest were identified in any of the test pits.
