Description
Six monitoring visits were made to the scheme. In the area of the Leys the pipe was laid directly into a narrow (0.40m wide trench) while along the northern edge of The Green a series of short trenches were opened and the pipe was thrust bored through the intervening areas. Trench depth varied over the monitoring scheme. No archaeological features were found, however post-medieval pottery sherds and clay pipe fragments were seen (S1).
