Description
Trial trench evaluation was carried out, the evaluation assessed 5% of two small paddocks covering c1.0ha ahead of residential development. The land was previously used for pig pens for the nearby pork canning plant. 9 trenches were excavated to a depth of 0.15-1.05m across the site, but few archaeological features were found except post medieval pit and ditches. The natural geology was soft, orange and yellow sand and orange clay (S1).
