Description

Trial trench evaluation in advance of the construction of a single dwelling and associated works. 1 trench was excavated to a max depth of 0.47m. No archaeological features or finds were present. Top soil layer was present at a depth of 0.26m comprising dark black brown, compact, silty clay with occassional sub-angular flint and chalk pebbles. This overlayed a subsoil layer 0.21m thick to a depth of 0.47m comprising mid grey brown, compact, silty clay with occassional sub-angular chalk and flint pebbles (S1).
