Description
Topsoil stripping was carried out using a 360 mechanical excavator equipped with a ditching bucket. In all four visits were made to the area. Visibility over the stripped area was good and it can be confidently felt that the results reflect the archaeological potential of the area. On average 300/350mm of topsoil were mechanically removed.
