Description
Archaeological evaluation was undertaken prior to the construction of 5 residential buildings. Only to modern post holes containing modern glass were recorded. Topsoil was a friable, dark grey brown sandy silt with moderate small and medium angular stone and occassional rubble. Below lay subsoil, a friable mid orange brown silt sand with occasional small and medium chalk. The subsoil overlay a natural deposit consisting of a firm white chalk and light orange sand (S1).
