Description
A Magnetic gradient survey was undertake using a Barington Grad 601-2 gradiometer. The data was collected at 1m by 0.25m intervals over a series of 30m grids. The survey area encompassed one arable field that had recently harvested beet crop. Due to the presence of uneven, muddy and waterlogged ground adjacent to parts of the northern boundary the area accessible for survey was reduced to approx 2.5ha. The anomalies identified are thought to relate to modern material/ objects, agricultural features/ activity and geological/pedological vaiations. Several anomalies were of uncertain origin that may be archaeological (S1).
