Description
Archaeological monitoring was carried out on groundworks for a replacement dwelling. A total of three visits were made to the site to observe the initial ground lowering by a machine excavator. The initial ground lowering was carried out to create a flat site for the new dwelling with 0.5m and 0.6m of topsoil and upper subsoil removed. Foundation trenches were then dug and measured 0.5m wide and between 1.3m and 1.8m deep. No finds or features of archaeological interest were identified (S1).
