Description

Geophysical survey was undertaken prior to evaluation on proposed of development site adjacent to the former airfield at Eye. The survey detected linear features which could represent former ditches or drains, or perhaps traces of an enclosure relating to a former field system, as well as various recent disturbances. The survey findings do not suggest the presence of any settlement remains, or other concentrations of archaeological findings of a kind which might be a detectable by magnetometer surveying (S1).
