Description
Archaeological excavation was carried out on the now-demolished property known as ‘The Old Thatches’. A thatch fire and the subsequent removal of the listed status by English Heritage allowed the remains to be demolished. Excavation was carried out by hand and no on-site metal detecting was carried out (S1).
