Description
A detailed fluxgate gradiometer survey on land outlined for a proposed housing development to the south of Old Stowmarket Road, Woolpit, Suffolk. Sampling intervals were set at 0.25m and recorded along 1m traverse intervals on 20m grids. No archaeological features of obvious significance were identified however positive linear trends indicative of post-medieval field boundaries and other features related to modern agricultural practices and rubbish pits where identified.
