Archaeological monitoring was carried out on the conversion of a barn. Two visits were made to the site to inspect the various groundworks. The first visit was made to inspect footings and services trenches excavated around the northern end of barn. The exposed sections showed 0.5m of mixed topsoil/hardcore overburden overlying the natural subsoil. A single feature was identified in these sections. Inside the barn, the 0.15m thick concrete slab and 0.1m thick sub base were removed. No features could be identified in the exposed surface. A second visit was made after the floor level had been reduced by a further 0.2m. No finds or features were identified during the second visit (S1).
