Description

A fluxgate gradiometer survey of land proposed for development at Johnson's Farm, Saxmundum Road, Leiston, Suffolk was undertaken in March 2016 based upon English heritgae guidelines. Trace evidence of potential archaeological remains was found in the form of linear features, possible quarrying and ferrous-rich materials indicative of industrial activity. There was clear evidence of below ground archaeology related to the site of Johnson's Farm (S1).
