Description

A full archaeological excavation was carried out following the previous evaluation trenching on the site, prior to the construction of a spa. The northern end of the site and the central area were hand excavated to the natural subsoil. The southernmost strip was only partially excavated as the formation levels of the construction would not truncate the full depth of archaeology. The northernmost area was partially truncated by post medieval and modern buildings (S1).
