Description
An archaeological evaluation was carried out prior to the proposed Lowestoft Northern Spine Road. The proposed development area measured at c.6.9 hectares and the evaluation consisted of 75 trenches. The trenches measured at 20m in length and 1.8m in width. The trenches were excavated to a maximum depth of 0.9m.Towards the southern end of the site Roman activity was identified as well as field boundaries (S1).
