Description
Monitoring of groundworks for an extension to the rear of the cottage revealed evidence for a possible north-south running ditch on a parallel alignment to Church Road. However no definite dating evidence was recovered from the ditch though a sherd of late medieval/early Post medieval stoneware was noted in spoil close to the identified feature. The maximum depth of the footing trenches was 1.6 m.
