Description
An archaeological evaluation was carried out to assess the archaeological potential of the site. A total of eight trenches measuring 30m long by 2m wide were excavated to the surface of the underlying natural geology. The maximum depth of the trenches was 0.35m. Two ditches likely to be associated with the WWII airfield were identified.
