Description
Archaeological monitoring was carried out following on from several other phases of the quarry. A roughly rectangular area was stripped of topsoil to the underlying geology. A single deposit of heated sand was excavated by hand. Approximately one third of the site was metal detected. Later prehistoric flints were identified.
