Description

An archaeological monitoring was carried on phased underpinning and foundation excavation works entailed in the conversion of the barn. The general stratigraphy encountered in the footings consisted of between 0.2m and 0.35m of topsoil and hardcore above what was thought to be the natural geology. Several undated pits were identified.
