Description
Archaeological monitoring was carried out on a surface strip prior to the construction of two warehouse. A large trench was excavated measuring 20.6m by 21.3m. Solid chalk bedrock was exposed most of the trenches. The flat surface of the chalk suggests that the site had been truncated, probably during airfield construction.
