Description

An archaeological evaluation was carried out prior to a proposed industrial development of the site. The evaluation consisted of forty-two trenches measuring 30m by 1.8m. The trenches provided an approximate 5% sample of the development area. The trenches were excavated to a maximum depth of 1.2m below the ground surface. Neolithic to Iron Age features were identified along with several Medieval ditches.
