Description

2017: In July and August 2017, Oxford Archaeology East carried out an archaeological excavation in advance of a residential housing development and following the results of previous evaluation. Three excavation areas totalling 0.32 hectares were opened in the northern half of the field along with three 50m x 1.80m trenches. Topsoil was present to a thickness of 0.10-0.30m over subsoil with a depth of 0.10-0.20m, onto natural clay geology. (S1)
