Description

Archaeological monitoring at Cornor of Vermont Road and Vermont Crescent. 3 strip foundations for plots 3 and 4 were open and monitored. Adjoining plots 1&2 were not monitored as it had been terraced into the natural slope and any archaeology would already have been truncated. The sides of the footing trenches revealed a lay up to 0.9m thick of relatively homogenous brown silty sand with occassional brick/glass fragments (S1, S2).
