Description
The line of the new sewerage pipe ran along The Street passing close to Eyke church. An additional length of new pipeline ran along Church Lane. The proposed length of popeline to the south of Eyke school was not lait. All new pipe-work in the village for this scheme was laid directly into narrow trenches c0.40m wide at the road edge. To the west of the village the remainder of this pipeline scheme ran through open county where an area some 7m wide was stripped of topsoil prior to pipe laying. The pipe line between TM20905189 and TM31605178 was not monitored. Over the remained of the pipeline scheme 6 monitoring visits were made to the village centre and 2 visits to the stripped length close to the River Deben. This monitoring work was carried out between April and Novemebr 1994, and funded by Anglian Water Services Ltd.
