Description
2018: Archaeological monitoring was carried out during soil stripping associated with a new access road off Kiln Lane, Chedburgh. Only ploughsoil was removed during the strip, revealing the top of the underlying subsoil or natural subsoil, within which modern brick and concrete fragments could be seen, likely to have been introduced by agricultural activity or during the construction/decommissioning of the World War Two Chedburgh Airfield.
