Description

An archaeological evaluation was carried out on an area of land at Grange Farm, Old Bury Road, Palgrave, Suffolk, in advance of the construction of new farm buildings. Six trenches, totalling c.112m in length, were excavated but no features or deposits of archaeological interest were identified. A single coin, a gold Saxon shilling, dated to the late 7th century, was recovered using a metal-detector from the spoil of one trench. No other finds of any period were identified.
