Description
Watching brief was carried out for a conservatory on the south side of the house which showed deep topsoil c.0.7m deep possibly with some build up where the ground had been levelled coming down onto red/brown boulder clay. Discussion with the owner about an earlier cut across the Grindle and the Bank on the north side found very flinty ground contrasting to the topsoil over clay elsewhere which is consistant with a abnk and ditch flattended to garden level (S1).
