Description
The trench measured 15m by 1.8m and excavations started at the southwest end to a depth of c. 1.05m and to c. 0.5m at the northeast end. The deeper excavations at the southwest end were due to the presence of a very large (beyond southwest, west and east edges of excavation) modern pit that extended into undisturbed 'natural' deposits
