Description
Magnitude Surveys was commissioned to assess the subsurface archaeological potential of a c.6.11ha area of land off Woodward Avenue, Bacton Stowmarket. A fluxgate gradiometer survey was successfully completed across the site. The geophysical results have recorded former mapped field boundaries, an old track also shown on historic maps, and an unmapped field boundary and ploughing trends. Anomalies related to modern activity have been detected, but these have had minimal impacton the magnetic data. No anomalies suggestive of significant archaeological remains were detected within the survey area.
