Description
2019: An archaeological evaluation was undertaken in advance of the demolition of existing structures and the subseqeunt erection of four new dwellings. A single trench measuring 15.00m x 1.80m was excavated. The site was overlain by a 0.25m depth of concrete, below which overlay deposits of made ground over natural sandy deposits at a depth of 0.65m-2.90m. It was apparent that the eastern part of the site had undergone some ground reduction and rebuild. Medieval and post medieval fetaures were encountered. (S1)
