Description
Monitoring of thirty geotechnical trial pits ahead of further development of the site. The trial pits revealed no archaeological features or deposits. The watching brief identified modern disturbance which can be attributed to the construction and subsequent demolition of a World War II Airfield and later industrial estate, as well as the creation of a landfill site to the south of the investigation area.
