Description
In advcance of the excavation of a pipe across part of the Scheduled area, an evaluation was carried out by means of excavating test-holes along the proposed line of the pipe run. The maximum depth of the test-holes was not to exceed the depth of the pipe run which was expected to have a max depth of 1m. The initial 4 test holes revealed structural features that the pipe run may be forced to avoid so an additional three test holes were excavated on an alternative route for the pipe some 2m north of the original.
