Full Description
Decorated & gilded triangular bronze mount (S1). Findspot very dubious. 1982: Reputed by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s), near Icknield Way. After first reporting the object the `finder' said he did not find it and that he invented the location, he claimed to have bought it from a local dealer and that it was probably from Ingham. There is still the possibility that the first story was true - a map of Icklingham that the police took from a treasure hunter had an `AS' annotation in this vicinity (S2).
