Full Description

Copper (S3)(R1)(S6), broad, thin butted flat axe with bevelled sides. Length 10.0 cms, weight 287.95 gms. Also large bronze (S3)(R4) flat axe with slight flanges and thin, narrow rounded butt with one corner broken. Length 19.3 cms, weight 671.2 gms. Both found on `Site of British Village' - ? may relate to Rom settlement - IKL 20 & 93, Mitchells Hill - IKL 26, or Bernersfield Farm barrows? Both formerly Prigg, then Sir John Evans collections (S1)(S2)(S3)(R1)(S6)(R3)R4).
