Full Description
Small gold bar twisted ring. From `Icklingham' (S1). No further details. Small bar twisted rings are considered by Taylor as an element of the MBA `ornament horizon' of N French derivation - Taunton phase of MBA (S1). However, may possibly by Rom or Sax? (S2).
Is this the same as references to gold work by Lawson? - "...while the interest in ornaments in the MBA has also been noted. In Suffolk a torc is known from Beyton and two atypical bracelets from Nowton, Bury St Edmunds. Fragments are also known from Icklingham" (S3).
Formerly recorded as IKL MISC
