Full Description

Over 126 Rom objects in OXFAS. All bar 10 pottery vessels are catalogued with a 1927 prefix which was also used for the Evans collection - note most of the Warren collection passed to Evans. See CRN 01280 & 01281. Some items possibly listed in Warren journal (R1). Artefacts include 12 pottery vessels, 17 brooches including one in form of a wheel, 2 silver finger rings, 45 bracelets, beads (not numbered), 5 bone & bronze needles, 13+ pins, 2 padlocks (1 in form of horse), a buckle (in form of a rams head), tweezers, 3 spoons (1 rat-tailed), 4 styli, a nude mercury statuette (S2), an eagle wing (S2), a miniature wheel (S2)(R4), an hourglass shaped pendant, 4 thimbles (? Rom), miscellaneous objects (S1)(R2). Also a fragment of harness (S1)(R2)(R3). More details in (S1)(R2).
