Full Description

Sax artefacts in OXFAS include:- various brooches including one circular C9/ C10 example (S4); one ?belt tag; rings - 1 with `5 large plain knobs', 1 bronze with `heavy setting and animals head' and 1 `silver with flat loops & quatrefoils' (S5); 2 girdlehangers; 3 beads, some Rom & 4 amber beads & part of lower jaw; bronze folding scales; tweezers and 2 interlocked rings, 2 spindle whorls and 2 Rom coins of Magnentius (S1, S6).
? Includes LSax backward looking beast brooch listed in (S2). Note some of this material may be from the Mitchells Hill cemetery - Warrens collection passed to Evans, whose collection is largely in OXFAS with a 1927 prefix and other items from Mitchells Hill have a 1909 prefix - see IKL 026.
