Full Description
Fragment of the blade of a bronze spearhead with a pronounced mid-rib. Shows signs of having been partially re-melted. Found amongst Roman material in the 1947-1957 excavations. Unstratified finds from the same excavations include a white patinated barbed and tanged arrowhead (broken), an unpatinated scraper, a white flint quern fragment with a pecked grinding surface which was re-used as a large scraper or chopper and an unpatinated `tortoise' core (S1).
