`River Orwell TM 175 404 approx ... Top part, including handle and portion of rim, of Med glazed pitcher. Rim diam: 11cm, surviving height 15cm. Traces of yellow glazed design on green background ... Dredged from the River Orwell, October 1977, between Pond Hall Farm and Freston Reach' (S1) Cited grid reference is just in Wherstead parish, although description could equally well apply to Ipswich, Nacton or Freston parishes!
