A possible Prehistoric sub-circular enclosure, centred on TM 30724549, is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs. The enclosure is roughly 40m in diameter at its widest point and either the cropmark is incomplete or the enclosure has a wide gap on its south-west side. It is possible that there are some pits in the interior but these have not been plotted as they may be due to variations in the sub-soil. The feature is cut by a substantial trackway and linear boundaries that are part of the probable Iron Age or Romano-British settlement cropmarks recorded in SUT 022. This suggests that the enclosure may be of an earlier, possibly Prehistoric, date. (S2-S4)
See SUT 044 and SUT 149 for the cropmarks and villa site.
