Full Description
Scatter of Rom pottery and tile found during fieldwalking by Ken Brown after subsoiling earlier in year. All finds on headland and probably extends west on to common land, which has never been ploughed. Finds appear to be generally C2-C3 and include parts of 1 lid, 1 bowl and mixed jars all of grey ware, 1 fragment plain Samian body sherd from 31 or similar. Med pottery also found on this field which is the site of the AS pagan cemetery, SNP 007 (S1). A coin, probably Domitian (AD 81-96), found metal detecting (S2).
