Full Description

Roman road (part of). Margary 34b, Coddenham - Peasenhall (S1). Continues to NE, see Earl Soham 001. Exact route not clear from TM 1950 6107 but turns further S from circa TM 1670 5943 (see Crowfield 004).

Taken from NRHE Record:
The modern road pattern of long interrupted alignments clearly identifies this route as Roman, and there are also a few pieces of structural evidence. Its eastern termination awaits the discovery of the documented Roman town of Sitomagus, which is presumed to be somewhere near Yoxford. [See OS Linear Archive for bibliography, 1940's air photo coverage, and field investigations from 1970, 1974, 1976, 1977 and 1979].
