Three Alnage seals from Toppesfield End, Hadleigh:- C17 Augsburg seal, pine cone/A with IR
James I, Northern (Yorkshire or Devon); C16 to early C18
clothier's/weaver's seal, initials TL and XIII, probably for length of cloth in yards; C17 small seal with privy mark P?C is the first non-London find of this whole class, which are probably local dyers' seals.
?Associated with dyers industry at Hadleigh? (S1)(S2).
Found in same field as C13 lead seal - CRN 09848.
