Smaller enclosures/subdivisions in interior and also ? on exterior at SE corner abutting Dawson's Lane (S1-S5). Relationship to ring ditch cluster, HRK 034, enclosure to E, HRK 033, and cropmark complex to S, HRK 003, unknown.
A probable Post Medieval rectilinear ditched enclosure and associated field boundaries are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs, centred on TM19823370, north of Dawson's Lane, to the south-east of Sparrow Hall in Harkstead parish. The enclosure is about 90m in width and the southern side of the enclosure is either cut or formed by Dawson's Lane itself. The enclosure appears to be directly associated with the cropmark of a Post Medieval field boundary, shown on the Ordnance Survey 2nd Edition 25" map of circa 1904, which has now been removed. This suggests that the enclosure is also of Post Medieval date. None of the features within the interior appear to be convincingly of archaeological origin. (S1-S6)
