Full Description

June 1990: Watching brief on area being developed for housing for Bentwaters air-base. Site stripped of top-soil, clayey sand sub-soil. Thin scatter of 10 flint flakes (listed as 16 but 6 very dubious), and heavily burnt flints. Houses being built on concrete rafts so little disturbance below sub-soil (S1).

Descriptions of flint finds are broad, dating to a specific period bracket is ill-advised. However, they may be later Prehistoric, based on details of discovery, (S2).
